Is this for a data center?
Liberty told the Missouri board that two possible giant customers asked to hook up to the grid. The company also filed a price sheet for users of 25 megawatts or more. Those terms are still a proposal.
Charlotte Emery's testimony talks about the risk if a giant user leaves. If that happens after towers are in the ground, other customers could be asked to cover costs that were meant for the giant user.
Neosho heard about a possible data center in 2026 and paused new data-center permits inside city limits for one year. That city vote does not decide the power-line route.
What Liberty asked for
- A deal that can last 15 years after a short ramp-up.
- Minimum payments on some charges even if the customer uses less power.
- Money set aside if the customer walks away early.
