Kansas, Oklahoma, and the Missouri Ozarks
A 345,000-volt power line is planned across southern Kansas, northeast Oklahoma, and the Missouri Ozarks. It may cross your land. Even if it misses your land, you will help pay for it on your electric bill.
We want a fair route, honest costs, and written protections before anybody signs.

Lines this size often need a strip about 150 feet wide. Ask for the width on your land in writing. Before you sign anything, have a local lawyer read it. If you stay quiet, the process keeps moving without you.
The line may miss your property. The costs will hit your bill. If this line is built, electric customers pay for it through their bills. That is how these regional lines are paid for. Nobody has said yet how much a typical house will pay each month.
The cost estimate for the Delaware to Monett piece went up about $90 million, about 26%, in one review in November 2025. It went from $342.6 million to $432.6 million. See the cost page.
If a giant power user like a data center comes, it could help pay. If it leaves early or uses less than promised, the rest of us could be stuck paying for towers already in the ground.
Garett and Megan of Neosho spent nearly three years paying off 12 acres and getting it ready for a home for their three boys. There is only one spot on the land where a house can go. They say the proposed route would run through or within feet of that spot.
That is their account. A survey still has to be checked against the map.
Liberty told the Missouri board that two possible giant customers asked to hook up to the grid. Neosho also heard about a possible data center and paused new data-center permits inside city limits for one year. Read the details.
Evergy is building the Kansas piece. AEP is building the Oklahoma piece. Liberty is building the Missouri piece. Each state has its own file.
